Professional Experience
Rob joined CBRE as Australasian Head of Institutional Investments in 2004. Over the last 10 years Rob has transacted over $1 billion worth of transactions primarily in Sydney but also in the major CBD's of Australia. Also he is currently working on a portfolio of office buildings in New Zealand so is gaining knowledge of this market and understanding of the key buyers. Rob runs a team of key operators who operate in the top end of the CBD markets, the core focus of Institutional Investments is the acquisition and disposal of stock, usually priced above AU$20m. This team works across divisions and borders to offer strategic market advice and help maximise the potential realization. Rob add value to the process by leveraging off his relationships with the major institutions, private investors and overseas investors. These relationships have taken years to develop and through is team can be utilised on specific projects.
Robert commenced his real estate career in 1989 with Jones Lang Wootton as a Commercial Leasing Negotiator in the Sydney CBD. After spending 5 years working in one of the most challenging leasing markets he was transferred to London as a Senior Surveyor in the West End Office Agency Team of JLW.
Returning to Australia in 1996, Rob ran JLW North Shore Investment team. During 2002 he was transferred to the Sydney office and became involved in selling commercial investment transactions all across Sydney.
