TWEED HEADS - NEW SOUTH WALES
The Gold Coast is a long, narrow urban area stretching along the Pacific coastline about 75 kilometres south-east of Brisbane. The region is about 35 kilometres long, stretching from Coolangatta/Tweed Heads in the south to Paradise Point in the north.
The Gold Coast is a destination of contrasts: from the sophistication of Main Beach, the glamour of Surfers Paradise, theme parks and wildlife sanctuaries, to championship golf courses, extensive shopping and diverse rainforest in the hinterland behind the coast.
Apart from the significant contribution of the leisure market, the State Government offers significant tax breaks and other financial incentives for corporations to establish themselves in the area.
The Gold Coast and Pacific highways connect to New South Wales in the south and Brisbane in the north. Two airports service the area: the nearby Coolangatta domestic airport and Brisbane International Airport, 90 minutes to the north
