UNDERWOOD - QUEENSLAND

Underwood is located within the Logan City Council local authority, around 17 kilometres south of the Brisbane CBD. The suburb is named after an early settler, William Underwood. It includes major industrial, office and retail precincts, the mail exchange, sporting facilities and residential estate. Surrounding suburbs include Springwood, Slacks Creek and Woodridge, which together form the major retail and commercial hub for Logan City. With further major retail development currently underway, the Springwood/Slacks Creek/Underwood corridor in particular, is set to continue to expand and strengthen its hub role.
