In 2006, CB Richard Ellis realised it needed to expand its focus beyond the institutional market to better service the private client sector. The larger commercial property service providers have always tended to gravitate towards the institutional market.

However, CB Richard Ellis identified a close alignment between the institutional and private client sectors. With private investors increasingly taking advantage of favourable market conditions to invest in commercial property, CB Richard Ellis created the Private Client Group (PCG) to refine the way it provided services to this sector.

The Group is dedicated to generating opportunities for private clients in Australia and New Zealand. Each PCG staff member is motivated and qualified to help you as a private investor achieve maximum value in the purchase, sale and management of your assets.The PCG’s strong relationship with the rest of the business allows private clients to benefit from the sale of real estate stock by institutions. We complete thousands of transactions per year across non-domestic residential, industrial, retail, and development sites.

While we specialise in sub-AU$30 million transactions, we step further up the ladder as clients require. The PCG showcased its capabilities in December 2007 when it managed the auction of a 26,844 square metre site in Canberra for AU$92 million, smashing the previous Australian record of AU$69 million set in 1988.

Marketing

Our strong relationship with the rest of the business gives private clients access to real estate stock and residential, commercial and retail development sites placed on the market by institutions and other parties.The PCG runs regular campaigns to ensure private investors are aware of relevant opportunities.

Property Frontier is our flagship publication and through this medium we listed 232 properties worth circa AU$1.2 billion during 2007.

Property Connector is our monthly e-magazine, which is distributed monthly to our database of 60,000 qualified investors, vendors, developers and tenants.
