The annual CBRE retailer survey, How Global is the Business of Retail? – now in its fifth year of publication – mapped the global footprint of 326 of the world’s top retailers and their expansion activities across 73 countries. The report found in 2011 six new international retailers entered the Australian market, with impressively refurbished ‘high street’ units helping Sydney to attract four of these traders.

Canberra Market Outlook

April 2012

The Canberra office market is expected to reach a turning point this year, with a higher level of investment activity expected in 2012, according to speakers at CBRE's Market Outlook breakfast. CBRE Executive Director, Global Research and Consulting, Kevin Stanley said while the Federal Government talked of budgetary and employment constraint, the Canberra office market continued to expand ahead of expectations.

CBRE's Urban Photographer of the Year 2012

Entries are now being accepted for CBRE’s annual Urban Photographer of the Year competition. First launched in 2007 by CBRE UK, the contest is now the largest competition of its kind in the world, receiving over 10,000 entries from more than 74 countries last year alone.
 
The competition’s theme is “Cities at Work” and the overall global winner will be able to choose a luxury photo safari from a range of exotic locations sponsored by CBRE. Photographers have until 30 June to submit their images, and winners will be announced in August.
