Growth prompts $2.45m Clontarf factory purchase

Brisbane, 06 January 2015 – A private investor has acquired a factory/warehouse in Clontarf for $2.45 million to house the growing operations of East Coast Bullbars (ECB).

CBRE’s Hugh Adnam negotiated the sale of the facility, which is situated at 12 Brewer Street.

The Brisbane-based ECB is recognised as a leading Australian designer and manufacturer of alloy frontal protection products.

The company will be expanding their premises into the facility, which is situated just 100 metres up the road from ECB’s existing headquarters.

“ECB was keen to remain in the area in order to be close to their workforce but needed an additional facility following significant business growth,” Mr Adnam said.

“The Clontarf industrial area is a significant source of employment for the region, which is experiencing huge residential growth. Clontarf and the Redcliffe district offer excellent affordability and connectivity for businesses seeking industrial investment opportunities.”

The 2,446sqm Brewer Street factory/warehouse has been acquired from the previous occupier, Pantex Roofing Systems, a manufacturer supplying roofers and builders throughout South East Queensland.

Growth was also the driver for Pantex Roofing Systems to relocate, with the company having established new facilities in Narangba.

The Clontarf property is situated approximately 20 minutes’ drive from Brisbane Airport and 35 minutes from the Brisbane CBD.

The factory/warehouse occupies a 3,779sqm site providing good exposure to Brewer Street.

Mr Adnam said the factory has been improved with gantry cranes and included a truck loading dock.
