Perth 04 February 2016 – A private investor has acquired a prominent retail investment neighbouring the site of Western Australia’s first Aldi in Champion Lakes for $1.05 million.
Located at the corner of Westfield and Ypres roads, Camillo, the 2,310sqm site comprises a freestanding property occupied by Champion Lakes Car Wash and Chicken Treat, securely leased until 2022 and 2019 respectively.
CBRE’s Michael Milne and Richard Cash negotiated the sale of 125 Westfield Drive, which marked an outstanding investment opportunity in an area earmarked for significant growth.
“Situated adjacent and in front of the Champion Lakes Shopping Centre, this property will benefit from the centre’s major refurbishment and expansion, which will include the state’s first Aldi supermarket, opening in June this year,” Mr Milne said.
“The opportunity to secure a freestanding retail investment in a location tipped for major growth such as this was a major selling factor, with the property inevitably set to benefit from one of the state’s most exciting retail developments.”
Champion Lakes is located approximately 30 kilometres south-east of the Perth CBD.
