Melbourne, 25 February 2015 – Ride sharing service Uber has secured a converted warehouse property in the inner-city suburb of Cremorne to accommodate its expanding Australian operations.
Located at 64 Gwynne Street, the property comprises 520sqm of converted office space. Uber has committed to a three-year term on the property.
CBRE’s Joshua Jennings, who negotiated the lease in conjunction with DBR Property, said the property’s uniqueness was a key factor underpinning the deal.
He commented: “The tenant was drawn to the character space’s individuality and modern features, as well as its prime position in the creative suburb of Cremorne.”
Mr Jennings said Uber would use the property as its Melbourne head office and training centre.
