Adelaide, 20 March 2013 - Adelaide has been chosen as the first destination outside Asia to host the peak Asian awards program for CBRE, the world’s largest commercial property services firm.
Asia Circle of Excellence (COE) is a four day event, rewarding CBRE’s leading real estate professionals from Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, China, India, Thailand, Philippines, Korea, Malaysia and Vietnam. A total of 77 CBRE employees across Asia won the Asia Circle of Excellence Award in recognition of their outstanding performance in 2012.
For the first time the event is to be held in Australia, with Adelaide chosen as the host city for this prestigious awards program, which runs from 8-11 April, 2013.
CBRE’s CEO & Chairman, Asia Pacific, Rob Blain and Asia Chairman Willy Shee will lead the COE contingent. Planned events include a welcome dinner on the River Torrens, a visit to the Barossa wine region, a tour of the Adelaide CBD and a visit to the Cleland Wildlife Park followed by a traditional Aussie BBQ at Mount Lofty.
“CBRE is delighted to hold this year’s Asia Circle of Excellence event in Adelaide,” Mr Shee said.
“With Australia being an important part of our Asia-Pacific operations, we are pleased to celebrate outstanding members of CBRE’s Asia team in Australia’s wine and seafood capital and look forward to a great event.”
CBRE’s Adelaide Managing Director, Phil Rundle, said for it was a coup for Adelaide to have been selected from a multitude of potential host cities across Asia Pacific.
“The decision by CBRE’s Asia Pacific directors to choose Adelaide as their preferred destination gives Adelaide and South Australia a unique chance to sell our story directly into the Asian business community,” Mr Rundle said.
“To have close to 80 of CBRE’s top professionals from our most important trading partners exposed to Adelaide in this way is advertising money can’t buy.”
