Sydney, 10 April 2013- CBRE has recruited one of Australia’s leading office leasing professionals Andrew Tracey to help drive the continued growth and market penetration of the firm’s Office Services team.
In his role as Regional Director, Office Services, Andrew will lead the national team. He will also have a strong focus on our Victoria Office Services division, helping to build on the great inroads already made by Chas Keogh and his team.
CBRE President & CEO, Australia & New Zealand, Tom Southern said the appointment would add considerable strength to CBRE’s Office Services platform given Mr Tracey’s depth of experience and exceptional market reputation.
“Our goal is to apply the appropriate focus, direction and resources to our Office Services business to ensure we are in a leadership position across the country,” Mr Southern said.
“Andrew has operated in the commercial office market since 1990, joining Colliers in 1997. He has been responsible for landmark CBD leasing deals in Victoria, as well as being involved with new developments and major refurbishments for both institutional and private clients. He is very highly regarded by our clients, not only in Victoria but across Australia as a whole.”
Working with leading institutional landlords, among them Australand, Brookfield, Charter Hall, Cbus Property, DEXUS, GPT, Investa, Challenger, Sachsen Fonds, AMP, Colonial and QIC, as well as numerous private clients, Mr Tracey has spearheaded a series of major leasing projects in recent years, including:
171 Collins Street, Melbourne CBD’s first new Premium Grade building in 20 years and BHP Billiton’s new global HQ
357 Collins Street, 30,000sqm A grade rebuild
Freshwater Place, 55,000sqm Premium tower in Southbank
Twenty8 Freshwater Place, 34,000sqm A grade tower in Southbank
717 Bourke Street, 37,000sqm A grade tower in Docklands
Mr Tracey will focus on expanding CBRE’s national Office Services business line, working closely with James Patterson who will continue to work as a senior member of the NSW Office Services team and in his long held position as Managing Director of CBRE’s NSW business.
“An added benefit of this appointment is that James will now have more time to add value across additional areas of our business, which represents a very exciting opportunity for both CBRE and James personally,” Mr Southern said.
