Melbourne, 20 April 2016 – A Heatherton site opposite Chifley Business Park is to be developed as a TunzaFun family entertainment centre after being sold for $1,150,000.
CBRE’s David Aiello and James Jorgensen negotiated the sale of the 6,064sqm vacant site on behalf of a private business owner.
The Lot 1, Centre Dandenong Road property was previously earmarked for a café, nursery and garden supplies centre.
Mr Aiello said the high profile corner location had been a key draw card for the purchaser.
“The property benefits from a high exposure intersection, is opposite a McDonald’s store and the recently opened Costco” Mr Aiello said. It is understood other major retailers such as K-Mart and Liquorland may be coming to the precinct also.
“Another attraction was the surrounding residential catchment, which draws from Melbourne’s Bayside and South-Eastern suburbs.”
TunzaFun was founded in 1978, with the first store located in Russell St, Melbourne. There are now seven TunzaFun centres in Victoria and South Australia, with Melbourne centres at Knox, Harbour Town, Fountain Gate and Frankston.
