Melbourne, 26 April 2013-Victorian sports retailer Bossports has leased a 400sqm boutique showroom in Mornington to accommodate its expanding business.
Located at a bulky goods retail center at 1002 Nepean Highway, the property has a leisure and outdoor theme with current retailers including Supercheap Auto, Petbarn, Bicycle Superstore and Sport Philip Marine – all of which Bossports will trade alongside.
CBRE’s Scott Littler negotiated the deal on behalf of building company H.Troon Constructions. Bossports have taken on a five-year term at $180/sqm net.
Mr Littler said the company’s growth was a key factor behind the deal.
“There has been significant expansion in the leisure and sports industry recently, and Bossports’ decision to upsize its Mornington operations is a testament to the sector’s strength,” Mr Littler explained.
The property’s location also played a big part in the transaction.
“Bossports specialise in lawn bowls, golf and tennis equipment with an emphasis on servicing clubs in the Mornington Peninsula region, so their new premises on the Nepean Highway ticked all the right boxes from a location and customer-convenience perspective” Mr Littler said.
