last night secured five prestigious trophies at the annual RICS Australia
Commercial Property Awards.
CBRE secured the coveted Deal of the
Year award; Residential Team of the Year award; and Valuation Team of the Year.
In addition, CBRE Head of Sustainability Amanda Steele was named Property
Professional of the Year and CBRE State Director Mark Wizel was recognised as Young
Achiever of the Year.

The Australian wins follow CBRE’s
success earlier in the week in the New Zealand section of the Oceania awards,
where the firm took home the Young Achiever of the Year award.

Team of the Year – awarded to CBRE’s
Victorian Residential Projects team, led by Andrew Leoncelli. While this
award was based on qualitative criteria, the team was also one of the
country’s leading sales team for 2014, responsible for more than $1
billion worth of sales.

Team of the Year– awarded to CBRE’s Agribusiness team, led by Danny Thomas. This
highly specialised team was involved in several significant valuation projects
of unprecedented size in 2014, including New Forests Asset Management’s
248,510 hectare Forestry Investment Trust Portfolio.
Professional of the Year – awarded to CBRE’s Head of Sustainability,
Pacific, Amanda Steele. In 2014, Amanda spearheaded CBRE’s involvement in
the Vision 202020 initiative, leading the project in our 21 offices across
Australia and New Zealand. In addition, Amanda’s advocacy for promoting
women in leadership was widely recognised and respected at an industry and
Achiever of the Year – awarded to CBRE State Director, Melbourne City Sales &
Victorian Retail Investment Properties, Mark Wizel. Mark is responsible
for establishing and leading a successful team of 26 professionals, which
were responsible for 172 sales transactions in 2014, amassing a total end
value of $2.7bn.
