Brisbane, 26 May 2016 – A private developer has secured a vacant medical centre in the bourgeoning commercial hub of Strathpine for $2.48 million at auction.
Located at 136 Gympie Road, the 7,194sqm landholding comprises a 1,070sqm vacant medical centre, previously occupied by a local general practitioner.
CBRE’s Dillon Murphy and Tim Jones, in conjunction with Cushman & Wakefield’s Morgan Ruig, conducted the competitive sales campaign, which resulted in strong buyer enquiry and multiple bidders on the day.
The purchaser plans to renovate the current improvements on site, with a long term view to add to the building footprint to incorporate a range of uses.
Mr Murphy commented on the sale: “The site is a premium landholding in the Strathpine area, being in close proximity to the railway station, Strathpine Shopping Centre and other local amenities.”
Strategically positioned at the entry of the Strathpine business district, the property has high visibility and benefits from a high volume of passing traffic given its location on the corner of Gympie and South Pine roads.
“This property represented an outstanding opportunity to acquire a strategic site in one of the fastest growing regions of the greater Brisbane area,” Mr Jones added.
