Perth, 28 August 2013 – CBRE has moved to capitalise on emerging opportunities in the Agribusiness sector with a senior recruit in Western Australia.
Darren Tapscott has joined CBRE as an Associate Director in its fast growing Agribusiness team, which has expanded from a standing start to number over 30 professionals since May last year.
CBRE’s WA Managing Director Peter Agostino said the appointment was an exciting development, heralding the launch of CBRE’s Agribusiness service offering in the west.
“Darren has an extensive history in Agribusiness, in both valuations and agency, having worked for Landgate, Elders, Farmworks Property and Landmark,” Mr Agostino said.
“We are delighted that a professional of Darren’s caibre is joining us at a time when the WA rural property market is experiencing rapid change due to the opposing forces of rapid deleveraging and increased corporate and foreign institutional investment.”
Mr Agostino added; “The addition of Darren to our team fits with our strategy to provide national coverage to our clients and will assist us in connecting new inbound sources of capital to the present array of opportunities in WA.”
Mr Tapscott’s appointment continues the growth of CBRE Agribusiness which is headed by Regional Director Danny Thomas.
The team comprises a national network leading professionals across all facets of the Agribusiness market.
“Darren has close to 20 years real estate agency and valuation experience across Western Australia from the south coast through to the Ord River Irrigation Area in the north,” Mr Thomas said.
“His significant experience and understanding of the drivers behind the agricultural property market will add considerable strength to our team as we continue to broaden our national platform.”
