Melbourne, 30 July 2013- A specialist medical owner-occupier has purchased a restored, period property in the heart of Hawthorn for $2.7 million.
Located at 759 Burwood Road, the refurbished medical centre is situated on a 1,320sqm site and includes improvements of 800sqm.
CBRE’s Scott Orchard, Jamus Campbell and Mark Wizel marketed the premises jointly with Jellis Craig agents Andrew MacMillian and Steven Abbott. It was sold by public auction.
The Residential Zoned property, which was built in the 19th century, features multiple consultancy rooms, a reception area, onsite parking and additional amenities. It also offers 23 metres of frontage onto Burwood Road.
Mr Orchard said the property’s aesthetic elements and strategic location were key selling factors.
“The new owner was attracted to the grandeur of this restored period premises and its close proximity to the Camberwell and Auburn train stations, as well as Swinburne University, top private schools, local parks and the popular Burke Road retail strip,” Mr Orchard said.
Hawthorn East is located 7.8km east of Melbourne CBD.
