Melbourne, 25 August 2013-International steakhouse Viva Brazil is due to open its first Australian restaurant, after securing space in the inner-Melbourne suburb of Prahran.
Located at 201 High Street, the 300sqm space is situated within Caydon’s new Trilogi development – a mixed use project comprising commercial and residential dwellings. Viva Brazil has committed to a 10-year lease, with an initial rental of $800 per square metre.
CBRE’s Zelman Ainsworth, who negotiated the deal on behalf of Caydon, said Viva Brazil would join the likes of The Smith, Morris Jones, Hanoi Hannah and Saigon Sally in the trendy pocket of Prahran.
“The tenant was attracted to Prahran’s close proximity to the Melbourne CBD and reputable reputation as one of Melbourne’s best dining precincts,” Mr Ainsworth said.
Viva Brazil will be located next door to eatery Huxtaburger, which is due to open its third restaurant next month at Trilogi.
“On the back of the leasing deals we have done with Huxtaburger – and now Viva Brazil – we are receiving a high level of enquiries from established hospitality operators looking to secure presence in the area,” Mr Ainsworth said.
CBRE has been appointed to lease the remaining three tenancies within the Trilogi project.
