Melbourne, 20 September 2013 – CBRE last night scooped two of the leading awards at the 2013 REIV Commercial & Industrial Marketing awards.
The awards showcase the best in commercial and industrial advertising, marketing and promotion.
CBRE’s Melbourne City Sales team was recognised for the Best Development Site Sales Campaign and Best Marketing Campaign with a budget of $30,000+.
The Best Marketing Campaign of $30,000+ was awarded to CBRE for its marketing of the iconic PIXEL building in Carlton. CBRE’s Josh Rutman, Tom Tuxworth and Mark Wizel steered the environmentally friendly marketing campaign for PIXEL, emphasising the property’s positioning as Australia’s greenest commercial office building. The property was marketed exclusively by CBRE on behalf of Grocon
The Development Site Sales Campaign recognised the marketing of 6-22 Pearl River Road, Docklands which was sold for $28.8 million. CBRE’s Mark Wizel and Josh Rutman steered a comprehensive international campaign, which resulted in a sale to listed Singaporean developer Hiap Hoe. It was the first Australian acquisition for the group. The property was marketed exclusively by CBRE on behalf of MAB Corporation.
“Both campaigns demonstrate that when assets are positioned correctly to the market with an understanding of the most likely target market of buyers are for an asset then price maximisation can be achieved,” Mr Wizel said.
Both campaigns had a strong Asian marketing flavor to them with the CBRE City Sales team continuing to lead the market in their ability to attract and transact with offshore buyers.
The two CBRE campaigns are now in the running to win the Gold Award for Overall Excellence, which will be presented at the 2013 REIV Awards for Excellence on October 17.
