Perth, 5 November 2014 - Beds N Dreams has secured a first foothold in the Perth retail market after leasing new premises on Osborne Park’s ‘golden mile’.
The family owned business has taken over a 1,200sqm showroom at 501 Scarborough Beach Road in a deal struck by CBRE Negotiator Alex Gismondi and CBRE Director of Large Format Retail, Richard Cash.
The space was outgrown by previous tenant JB Hi-Fi, who recently relocated to a larger adjacent showroom of 2,500sqm to facilitate the roll out of the group’s new JB Hi-Fi Home Stores concept.
With Osborne Park recognised as one of the best large format retail precincts in Australia, Mr Gismondi said the lease has presented an ideal entry point into the WA market for Beds N Dreams as the retailer continued its national expansion.
Beds N Dreams presently has 13 stores across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland and two more stores to roll out on the east coast by the end of the year in addition to its new WA showroom.
“The Scarborough Beach Road site offered a sensational branding opportunity with neighbouring national retailers including Harvey Norman, Officeworks, BCF and Snooze,” Mr Gismondi said.
Mr Cash said, Beds n Dreams had secured a long term lease with the showroom benefiting from ample onsite parking, rear access, dual street frontage and exposure to approximately 35,000 passing cars per day.
