Melbourne, 10 December 2014 – Former Gold Coast Suns player Tom Murphy has made his foray into the commercial property sector, joining CBRE as the firm’s newest Melbourne recruit.
Tom Murphy joins CBRE’s Industrial & Logistics Services team in the position of Negotiator, where he will play a central role in strengthening the firm’s presence in Melbourne’s western industrial market.
Tom has 10 years’ experience as a professional AFL player, playing for high profile clubs including the Gold Coast Suns and Hawthorn Football Club.
Dean Hunt, Senior Director, Industrial & Logistics Services, said Tom’s appointment supported the CBRE industrial division’s continued growth and leading market share position.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Tom to CBRE and I am confident his drive and enthusiasm will make him a great addition to the team,” Mr Hunt said.
“Forming a key part of our recognised and leading western industrial team, Tom will be focusing on our sub 4000sqm market and be an important addition to the already four man specialist team.”
Mr Murphy, who completed work experience with CBRE in 2013, said he was thrilled to join the CBRE team.
”I’m really excited to be starting my career with a strong brand like CBRE and working in another successful team oriented environment,” Mr Murphy said.
“I’m fortunate to be surrounded with people who’ve been very successful over a long period of time, who can now teach me the ropes.”
