Sydney, 17 December 2014 – CBRE has announced several senior leadership appointments in Pacific, with Ryan Johnson becoming the new Managing Director of the firm’s North Sydney office and Matt St Amand taking the helm in Wellington.
Mr Johnson has served as Managing Director of CBRE’s Wellington office for more than a decade and has more than 17 years’ experience in property and investment banking.
He will relocate with his family from New Zealand to Australia in early 2015.
CBRE President & CEO, Australia & New Zealand, Tom Southern said the appointment was consistent with CBRE’s overriding focus on developing the firm’s key talent and providing opportunities for people to build their careers at CBRE.
“Ryan has an exceptional track record both in terms of running a highly successful office and through his role in our Capital Markets business line. He already has strong relationships with many of our key Australian clients and is very excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in his new role,” Mr Southern said.
Peter Flint, the longstanding Managing Director of North Sydney, will turn his attention to a more focused role in Office Services, and will lead the business line in NSW and the ACT.
“Peter has been an outstanding MD and one of our most longstanding, having served in the role for 10 years. Going forward, Peter will concentrate on building the strength and capability of our Office Services business line, as well as fostering relationships and outcomes with key clients,” Mr Southern said.
In turn, Matt St Amand has been appointed Managing Director of CBRE’s Wellington office. Mr Amand joined CBRE earlier this year, bringing over 20 years’ of experience in senior roles in the New Zealand market, including his prior position as Regional Manager Property Finance with ANZ Bank.
“His diverse experience and proven leadership capabilities set Matt apart when making the decision as to Ryan’s successor and I have no doubt his appointment will be very well received,” Mr Southern added.
