Melbourne, 8 July 2014 – The world’s largest global paints and coatings company has leased a new purpose built, dangerous goods facility in the industrial heart of Melbourne’s western suburbs.
The 3,748sqm state of the art coatings warehouse and office facility at Derrimut will support AkzoNobel’s operations in the region serving the protective coatings, marine and yacht markets.
CBRE’s Todd Grima and Harry Kalaitzis negotiated the long term lease deal on behalf of the developer and lessor Pelligra Holdings. Mr Grima said the property would support AkzoNobel’s growing operations in Australia.
“AkzoNobel is the leading worldwide company in paints and coatings, and this facility will support the business’s market leading position,” Mr Grima said.
“The fact that this property was able to be purpose built means it supports the tenant’s specific needs exactly, providing the framework for AkzoNobel’s continued success in the Australian paints and coatings market.”
Derrimut is an outlying Melbourne suburb, located approximately 18km west of the CBD.
