Allied Seafreight and General Distribution will consolidate its two western Melbourne sites within a Logos Group-owned facility in Altona North.
The family-owned transport and logistics company has signed a 10-year lease for 27-43 Toll Drive.
The 4.88ha site features a 16,229sqm warehouse and office building, while a further 5,000sqm of container-rated hardstand will be developed on the site by Texco Construction.
The move brings Allied Seafreight’s operations under one roof, from two separate properties in Laverton North, and provides the scope for future growth.
CBRE’s Harry Kalaitzis, Tom Hayes and Todd Grima represented Logos Property, while Tony Tripodi worked with Allied Seafreight and General Distribution.
“The property’s location appealed to Allied, along with the fact it offers the key characteristics of a traditional transport facility rather than a 3PL warehouse,” Mr Kalaitzis said.
“Altona North represents an ideal location for transport occupiers due to its proximity to key infrastructure such as Port Melbourne, the CBD and Airport.
“It also provides exceptional access to Melbourne’s major road networks including the West Gate Freeway, Western Ring Road and Princes Freeway.”
