Ms Traficante said Campbellfield is a proven manufacturing precinct and this heavily supported Any Steel Fabrication’s decision to relocate here from Thomastown.
“A major drawcard that also brought the company to Campbellfield, was the attractive rates per square metre in comparison to newer developments in and around Epping – where land values are much high and the typical use and zoning is more attractive for lighter industrial and commercial users.”
Mr Eramo added: “Recently, CBRE has assisted a number of manufacturing occupiers upsize or move into newer facilities, which we believe contradicts the idea that manufacturing in Australia is ‘dead’.”
The site, which sits within 700 metres of Hume Highway and just 15 minutes from Melbourne Airport, offers a two-storey office, a high clearance and clearspan warehouse plus ample onsite parking.
It is currently occupied by Fleet Trades, with a lease remaining until the end of November, 2017.
