A flurry of leasing activity among construction occupiers in Melbourne’s industrial precincts is continuing, with AUGRC expanding its operations after inking a new lease on a Sunshine West facility.
AUGRC – a specialist manufacturer of glass re-enforced concrete – has signed a 5.5-year lease on a 2,900sqm industrial office/warehouse property, located at 19-23 Industrial Drive. The property, situated on a 5,400sqm site, features multiple overhead and jib cranes, as well as five motorised roller shutter doors.
Mr Murphy said the transaction highlighted ongoing strength in Melbourne’s construction sector.
“This transaction is another example of construction-related occupiers who are experiencing growth in 2020,” Mr Murphy said.
“While recent growth in e-commerce has ignited demand for automated warehouses, there will always remain strong demand for industrial facilities with cranes, high power supply and large concrete hardstand."
