Bill & Toni's hits the market for the first time in half a century
| 2 November 2016
The home of one of Darlinghurst’s most iconic dining institutions, Bill & Toni’s, has been placed on the market for the first time since 1965.
CBRE’s Michael Khouri, Gemma Isgro and Nicholas Heaton have been appointed as the exclusive selling agents for the property, which has been a local favorite for almost 52 years.
Located at 72-74 Stanley Street, the 248sqm property features prominent location in the heart of the city’s original “little Italy” precinct, surrounded by some of Sydney’s favorite culinary destinations. The site benefits from prominent frontage to Stanley Street, two-level restaurant fit out, outdoor dining and a laid-back atmosphere which channels a traditional Italian experience.
Following the sale, Bill & Toni’s will continue to serve its signature food and coffee to locals, suits and celebrities alike - with the site being sold with a leaseback arrangement on a five year term with option for five year extension.
Mr Khouri said the property represents an outstanding investment opportunity within the city fringe market.
“Extensive interest from a range of national and local investors is expected, underpinned by the established tenant profile.”
“Sydney’s inner-east has a vibrant food scene, therefore restaurants such as Bill & Toni’s are the stuff of local legend and coveted by investors,” Ms Isgro added.
“Given the high level of buyer interest in the city fringe area recently, and the strength of the hospitality market, the vendors have deemed it an ideal time to sell.”
The property will be sold via public auction on Tuesday, 29 November 2016 at 10.30am.
