Brisbane’s largest mixed-use development opportunity listed for sale

​Brisbane, 1 October 2014 – A prime new development site, The Boulevard, is up for sale in Buranda. The site sits at the center of transport infrastructure within 3km of the Brisbane CBD, and presents a rare and truly iconic opportunity which is likely to attract attention from major onshore and offshore development groups.

Having secured the pre-sale of its Flight Centre anchored commercial building at Southpoint, the Anthony John Group is focusing on the development of its new Emporium Hotel and residential projects at Southpoint and East Village, and has appointed CBRE’s Mike Walsh and Darren Collins to sell the Buranda site.

The Boulevard, located at 255 Logan Road Buranda, comprises a two hectare allotment, which has been amalgamated to create the ultimate platform for a world class Transport Orientated Development (TOD). The site is underpinned by unrivalled public transport linkages and road connectivity, due to the site’s position adjoining Buranda Train Station and the South East and Eastern busway, with the Pacific Motorway entrance 500 meters away.

With planning approval and support from both local and State Government planning policies, the project is ready to be commenced immediately. It can be developed to incorporate a variety of uses for up to 154,000sqm of gross floor area, with building heights of up to 25 storeys.

Mr Walsh said; “This is an outstanding opportunity to acquire a landmark project, which provides the perfect vehicle to capitalise on the growing economy and strong residential demand within the Brisbane market. There is no comparable development opportunity of this scale or location available in Brisbane. The incoming developer will be able to capitalise on future growth in both population and employment, with a site which is underpinned by over $20 billion in surrounding infrastructure and investment,"

"This precinct has been identified by Brisbane City Council as a key growth area; with superior public transport infrastructure, access to surrounding education institutions and strong employment opportunities, this site provides a unique opportunity for the creation of an exceptional living, workplace and lifestyle hub,” Mr Walsh added.

The Boulevard is for sale by International Expressions of Interest, with offers closing on October 30.
