CBRE is delighted to announce the recipient of the 2020 CBRE Scholarship for Women in Property - Western Sydney University student, Catherine Rendell.
The inaugural Scholarship – available to Western Sydney University students studying a Bachelor of Business (Property) – provides financial and valuable mentoring support to a female student forging their property career path.
Ms Rendell was awarded the Scholarship in recognition of her dedication to her current studies as well as her potential to positively contribute to the property industry.
CBRE NSW Executive Managing Director Andrew Roy said the Scholarship highlighted CBRE’s commitment to supporting the next generation of property professionals.
“We are proud to have an inclusive and supportive culture that aims to provide opportunities for young, talented individuals like Catherine to create their own path in the property industry,” Mr Roy said.
“Catherine was amongst several candidates that applied for the scholarship with her passion and dedication for her studies a defining factor in her selection.”
Mr Roy said CBRE was proud to support the Western Sydney community.
“We have partnered with WSU for a number of years and have seen the positive impact they have had on this culturally-rich and constantly evolving community. We are thrilled to be able to strengthen our partnership and give back to the Western Sydney community by supporting Catherine in her property studies.”
Ms Rendell said she was extremely humbled to receive the Scholarship.
“It is an honour to be the recipient of such a prestigious scholarship. I believe having emotional support from family is so important and I am really blessed to have that. The financial assistance from CBRE will make such a difference, and I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with a great company as I continue my journey in the property industry.”
