CBRE has expanded its presence in Melbourne’s CBD and fringe office leasing market with the appointment of property professionals Charlotte McCann and Matt Szakiel.
Mr Szakiel joins CBRE’s Advisory & Transactions – Office team as Senior Negotiator, where he will work alongside Joshua Jennings and Anthony Park to continue growing market share within the fringe markets of St Kilda Road, South Melbourne and Southbank.
Mr Szakiel will draw on his previous property experience, which includes eight years with Chisholm & Gamon Property, to further build the team’s depth in the Melbourne fringe office leasing sector.
The team has also welcomed Ms McCann in the position of Negotiator, where she will work to bolster the presence of the expanding CBD team.
Ms McCann has several years’ experience in the real estate sector, having held property management positions with Knight Frank and JLL.
CBRE Advisory & Transactions – Office, Director, Marc Mengoni said the appointments highlighted the firm’s strengthening presence in the Melbourne CBD.
“From their previous experience in the Melbourne real estate market, both Matt and Charlotte have established relationships with a number of key clients, which will further help reinforce CBRE’s prominent position,” Mr Mengoni said.
“Charlotte and Matt bring valuable skills and experience to the team, which will ensure we continue to create advantage for our clients.”
The appointments follow the recent transition of Caitlin Murdoch from CBRE’s fringe leasing team to the CBD team.
“Caitlin has been a valuable member of our fringe team, having worked across a number of major projects including Building 8, 658 Church Street, Richmond; Riverside Quay, Southbank; and 109 Burwood Road, Hawthorn,” Mr Mengoni said.
“Caitlin brings with her extensive market knowledge, an outstanding track record and a reputation for great client service and success. Having her join our CBD team highlights our strengthening focus on this specialised sector of the market.”
