CBRE has been recognised among Australia’s most inclusive employers at the annual LGBTI Inclusion Awards, hosted by ACON’s Pride in Diversity.
CBRE was named a Bronze Employer based on an assessment against the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) – recognising the strides the company has made in LGBTI inclusion activity.
The annual awards and employer rankings provide the definitive national benchmark on LGBTI workplace inclusion for Australian employers across all sectors.
CBRE’s Pacific President & CEO Ray Pittman said the Bronze Employer ranking highlighted the exceptional work undertaken in recent years by the firm’s LGBTI and Allies support group – Building Equality @CBRE ([email protected]).
“We have an ongoing commitment to encouraging a diverse workplace in which merit and contributions supersede sexual orientation and gender identity,” Mr Pittman said.
“Promoting an inclusive culture empowers our people and is essential for the future growth and success of our organisation.”
In 2018, 135 employers across Australia took part in in the AWEI survey – a 16% increase on 2017 participation.
