Sydney, 1 October 2014 – CBRE has further bolstered its Residential business by recruiting Knight Frank State Director Peter Krieg to jointly lead its Residential Site Sales team.
Mr Krieg, who has 26 years of property industry experience, will join CBRE in early November. He will work alongside existing Directors Matthew Ramsay and Ben Wicks as joint head of the NSW Residential Site Sales business.
The team, which works with CBRE’s Metropolitan Investments and Residential Projects divisions, has already built a dominant market position, transacting in excess of $1 billion in development sites year-to-date.
CBRE Residential Projects Chairman Justin Brown said the recruitment of Mr Krieg would further strengthen the team’s capabilities and superior client service offering.
“Peter is a proven professional and one of Sydney's most experienced operatives in relation to residential site sales,” Mr Brown said.
“Adding his capabilities to our already strong team will ensure that CBRE remains at the forefront of the residential development market, which we believe is critical to servicing our developer clients and supporting our Residential Projects business.”
The NSW arm of CBRE Residential Projects is on track to sell in the order of 4,000 Sydney apartments this year.
“Our goal is to be the leader in providing our clients a holistic service and do this in the residential space we must continue to offer our clients new development opportunities,” Mr Brown said.
“We are extremely confident about the continued strength of the residential site market, with increasing interest from both local and international purchasers. Peter’s appointment will give us additional firepower to support this market segment and provide the highest level of service to clients.”
