Melbourne, 23 September 2014 – CBRE has taken out the award for Best Industrial Sales Campaign and joint award for Best Sales Campaign – budget between $5,000 and $15,000 - at the Real Estate Institute of Victoria Commercial & Industrial Marketing Awards.
The Victorian Industrial Investments team of Chris O’Brien, Matt Haddon and Rory Hilton won the Best Industrial Sales Campaign award in conjunction with Gibb Group for their campaign for the Montague Refrigerated Logistics Centre in Truganina. The facility was sold in January this year prior to construction to specialist funds manager CorVal.
Mr O’Brien said a key objective of the marketing campaign was to concurrently educate some of the market on the evolving Refrigerated Logistics market, as well as the concept of forward funding, a relatively new form of acquiring assets that are ‘yet to be constructed’.
The award for Best Sales Campaign between $5,000 and $15,000 was won by CBRE agents Tom Tuxworth and Ed Wright, for Level 6, 18 Oliver Lane, Melbourne.
The property is a boutique strata office, which sold off the plan for $3.184 million to a Melbourne marketing company, who purchased the entire 424sqm floor from developer and vendor Marks Henderson.
18 Oliver Lane is currently a five level commercial office located in the tightly held East End precinct of the Melbourne CBD between Flinders Street and Flinders Lane. An additional three levels of commercial strata office space are being added to the building.
Mr Wright said CBRE were sole agents for all three new levels, which were sold in a very short time frame.
The REIV awards showcase the best in commercial and industrial advertising, marketing and promotion.
Both campaigns are now in the running for the peak C&I Gold Award for Overall Excellence at next month’s REIV Awards for Excellence.
