Brisbane, 14 August 2014- Chrisco Hampers has leased an 18,000 sqm warehouse for their Christmas hamper distribution.
448 Nudgee Road is located in the Hendra Distribution Park, in the heart of the TradeCoast precinct.
Peter Turnbull and Dan Munnich from CBRE negotiated the deal as a sublease from Kmart for the remainder of 2014.
Mr Turnbull said Chrisco Hampers was a unique business that only requires extra space once a year at Christmas.
“This lease is perfect for them as Kmart has several years left on their lease and were open to all leasing offers, for either short or long term commitments,” Mr Turnbull said.
Mr Turnbull said the Stockland owned building would be vacant again when Chrisco moved out at the end of the year. Kmart’s lease expires in 2020.
“There have been a couple of short term tenants since Kmart moved out but no one’s been willing to take out the whole space for the long term,” he said.
The property can be divided into 10,000sq m or 20,000sq m spaces. It has B-double access and turning on-site and the warehouse has 37 loading docks all with awning cover.
