Sydney, 16 October 2014 – CBRE has recruited leading property professional Emil Joubert as National Director - Transaction Management in the firm’s Global Corporate Services (GCS) team.
Mr Joubert is joining CBRE following 16 years at Charter Hall, where he most recently served as National Leasing Director.
In his new role, Mr Joubert will be based in CBRE’s Sydney office and will oversee the firm’s GCS Transaction Management teams across Australia.
CBRE’s Senior Managing Director, GCS, Chris Hynes, described Mr Joubert’s appointment as a key hire, which would further strengthen the firm’s GCS platform following the recent recruitment of Robert DiPasquale as head of Facilities Management for Pacific.
“Emil brings a wealth of experience in negotiations, a broad network of connections in the tenant community and obviously an insight into the landlord’s perspective on a transaction,” Mr Hynes said.
“We see significant potential in the Transactions Management business in Pacific and believe Emil is the ideal candidate to expand our activities and further enhance our client offering. He has a comprehensive knowledge of all the Australian CBD and metropolitan office markets and wide-ranging experience in managing tenancy commitments.”
Mr Joubert commenced his real estate career at Knight Frank prior to joining Charter Hall, where he has been involved in leasing approximately 300,000sqm of office, industrial and retail space.
This has included the 60,000sqm Zone project at Olympic Park in Sydney and the 41,000sqm 275 George Street development in Brisbane.
In relation to his new role, Mr Joubert said; “I’m very excited about joining the market leading CBRE GCS team. The group, with its combination of high calibre people and an exceptional global network, is ideally placed to set the standard for transaction management in Australia and New Zealand.”
