Melbourne, 26 August 2014 – CBRE has strengthened its City Sales team in Melbourne with the recent appointment of former professional AFL player, Nick Lower.
The former footballer, who played for Port Adelaide, Fremantle Dockers and Western Bulldogs for over eight years, joins the team, led by Mark Wizel and Josh Rutman, where he will help increase CBRE’s presence in Melbourne’s commercial market.
CBRE Associate Director, Melbourne City Sales, Josh Rutman said Mr Lower’s appointment was a major boon to the team.
“CBRE’s City Sales has seen unprecedented growth over the past 18 months and we plan to bolster our client service offering by bringing Nick on board,” Mr Rutman said.
“Nick will add strength to our team by focusing on the sub $20 million CBD commercial and retail market.”
Mr Lower first made his foray into the real estate industry in 2013, when he joined CBRE’s Residential Projects team as a selling agent, before recently transitioning to the commercial sector.
“During my AFL career I did work experience with the City Sales team. I loved the enthusiasm and passion of the team and was eager to get my foot in the door to work in such a great environment,” Mr Lower explained.
“When a position opened up with the Residential Projects team, I grabbed it with both hands, and again jumped at the opportunity to secure a position in the City Sales team when it arose this year.”
