Kalmar Global will establish a new Melbourne base on a low-site-coverage property to the west of the city.
The Finnish company, which specialises in cargo handling solutions, has signed a three-year lease for 571–579 Grieve Parade, Brooklyn.
It has taken on the 7,531sqm site with a 1,822sqm warehouse for $215,000+GST net per annum.
CBRE’s Ricardo Cappelletti, Tom Murphy and Fergus Pragnell managed the campaign.
“The site’s unique blend of sought-after industrial features meant it was leased within a month of becoming vacant,” Mr Cappelletti said.
“It offers a wash bay, triple interceptor, crane, service pits and a large yard.”
The Grieve Parade property is located between the Princess Highway and West Gate Freeway, which connect Melbourne and Geelong.
“The large main road frontage affords occupiers excellent signage opportunities throughout the premises,” Mr Murphy added.
