Melbourne, 2 August 2014 – Jetport Security Parking has consolidated its Melbourne airport operations into a new 61,000sqm super site in Tullamarine.
CBRE Senior Director Dean Hunt and Senior Negotiator Lindsay Davidson negotiated the 70-90 Garden Drive lease, which consolidates upwards of 35 Jetport sites within the Tullamarine precinct.
Jetport is a family-owned business that has provided Melbourne airport car parking for over 30 years. The new facility incorporates an existing 21,000sqm building on a site area of 61,000sqm.
CBRE sold the site with vacant possession in mid-2013. The new lease agreement is for 12 years and includes lessor and lessee contributions for refurbishments and alterations to suit the new use as a parking facility.
“The property holds particular appeal as it allows high security with a gated entry, segregated indoor area for clientele pick up and drop off and a large quantum of indoor, under cover parking as well as significant external yard areas for outdoor parking,” Mr Hunt said.
“The location is ideal for a parking facility as it is one of the closest freehold sites to Melbourne Airport and fronts directly onto the Tullamarine Freeway, while offering close proximity to the diamond interchange at Mickleham Road.”
Jetport Security Parking Director, Carl Dullard, said; “We are one of the largest off airport parking providers in Victoria and have been looking for some time to secure a suitable site to accommodate our continued growth. This deal will allow us consolidate upwards of 35 independent sites within the Tullamarine precinct into a new super site that will provide a more economic and efficient level of service to our customers.”
