Lumascape Lighting Industries has secured a ground floor property in Eight Mile Plains to accommodate its new Brisbane headquarters.
The national lighting products specialist signed a five-year lease on the 1,740sqm property at 18 Brandl Street, which was offered with 25 onsite car parks.
The property, comprising a 520sqm office and 1,220sqm warehouse component, was leased for a gross rental of $405,500 per annum.
CBRE’s Michael Skarparis, who negotiated the lease in conjunction with fellow agent Mel Pikos, said the property’s location underpinned the deal.
“The key driver for Lumascape was to move closer to the CBD from its current headquarters in Cleveland, whilst maintaining accessibility to all major arterials,” Mr Skarparis said.
“Lumascape had a tight timeframe in which it needed to relocate from its current premises, and therefore needed to secure a property quickly. We were able to successfully negotiate an outcome in less than two weeks.”
Mr Pikos said the property was well suited to the requirements of Lumascape’s needs.
“Lumascape had an extremely specific building requirement and 18 Brandl Street was the only option in the park that could satisfy the required office and warehouse split.”
CBRE has now leased just under 5,000sqm in the past 18 months within the Brisbane Technology Park.
