Commercial law firm, Mills Oakley, has leased a 1,260sqm office on the top floor of 240 St Georges Terrace – the latest in a series of leasing transactions at the premium grade asset.
Mills Oakley recently relocated from its current home at 225 St Georges Terrace to the Dexus-owned building into a purpose-built fitout earlier this month.
CBRE’s James Phelan, acting on behalf of a sublessor, negotiated the nine-year lease deal directly with Mills Oakley.
Mr Phelan commented on the transaction: “Mills Oakley was attracted to the quality of the building and the high level of amenity, including the Dexus Place meeting/entertainment space offering which they will use for interstate visitors and client entertainment.”
“Additionally, the building lends itself to an office-centric style fitout, with its central core plate featuring straight parameters and limited columns allowing more offices to be integrated onto the floor plate design.”
240 St Georges Terrace has secured multiple new tenants over the past three years, including Worley Parsons, ANZ and DLA Piper. The building is currently circa 94% occupied.
