Australia’s largest lighting retailer Beacon Lighting has secured a new flagship location after taking a seven year lease over a freestanding showroom in Fortitude Valley.
The retailer has relocated from a smaller showroom within Homemaker The Valley to a 742sqm tenancy at 111 McLachlan Street.
CBRE’s Large Format Retail specialists Sam Macgregor and Andrew Brimson negotiated the transaction, with Mr Macgregor noting Beacon Lighting was drawn to the property due to its 47 metres of glass frontage across four floors on the busy McLachlan Street.
“The showroom’s location in Fortitude Valley is fantastic and drew significant interest from the retail market. The property is situated within 150 metres of the popular James Street retail precinct and is surrounded by well-known retailers including David Jones, Bed Bath n Table, Pottery Barn and Baby Bunting,” Mr Macgregor said.
In addition to its prime location, Beacon Lighting will benefit from the property’s ample exposure and signage opportunities, and superb natural light.
