Perth, 23 September 2014- CBRE has recently secured a joint leasing appointment for the second stage of development at Pinjarra Junction Shopping Centre.
The expansion will see Pinjarra Junction increase from its current size of 6,000sqm (GLA) to 11,000sqm (GLA), offering shoppers additional products and services upon completion. The Centre will be constructed to a high standard and the addition of 130 basement car bays will add to the overall customer experience.
Richard Cash and Craig Olde from CBRE’s Retail Services team will handle the leasing, with construction scheduled to finish in May 2015.
Mr Cash, Director Large Format Retail and Retail Services, said the expansion will see a brand new Target store, Coles increase the size of their premises by 1,000sqm and 26 new specialty tenancies.
“The first stage of development has been very well received by the market and we expect the same for Stage 2,” Mr Cash said.
Mr Olde, Senior Manager Retail Services, said when the door counts at the centre topped 120,000 per month, the owners knew it was too big to ignore and initiated the expansion to service the outstanding customer demand for retail in this location.
“We discovered people were travelling from as far as 50 and 100 kms away to shop at this centre, and indicated they sought more retail at the location to meet their needs,” Mr Olde said.
“Since our appointment we have been pleased with the response from the national retailers who are keen to secure space within this fast growing catchment.”
