The health food buzz sweeping the Gold Coast is helping reinvigorate some of the region’s major retail strips, with acai bar Kiss the Berry making its foray on the coast with a new outlet in Burleigh.
The Queensland-based acai specialist signed a five year lease on its newest outlet at 9 Connor Street, comprising a two storey building with 78sqm on each floor. The annual rental is approximately $119,000.
The new store, which marks Kiss the Berry’s third Queensland location, was formerly the home of Burleigh’s Brumbies bakery for 10 years and has been reinvigorated to house the acai berry bar.
CBRE’s Trisha Wamelink, who negotiated the deal with Rudi Scutti, said the deal marked an exciting time for the Gold Coast’s health food scene.
“The Gold Coast is well-known for its strong holistic and community living focus, with the addition of an exciting new outlet such as Kiss the Berry bringing a fresh new option to the region,” Ms Wamelink said.
“Kiss the Berry had Burleigh on its radar for some time after identifying it as a key market to open its first Gold Coast outlet.”
