Floreat Forum in Perth’s western suburbs has welcomed a new retailer to its lineup, with the opening of sports outlet Keep on Running.
Owned and operated by Australian mountain running champion Bruce Hogg, Keep on Running is a sports store specialising in athletics and running merchandise.
CBRE’s Adrian Morabito negotiated the seven-year lease of the 88sqm store on behalf of APIL.
Mr Morabito said the deal highlighted ongoing strength in the sports retail industry.
“This deal demonstrates the solid growth in the health and fitness industry, despite tough trading conditions in the wider retail sector,” Mr Morabito said.
“It is also encouraging to see independent retailers show confidence in the market as green shoots emerge in the WA economy.”
Keep on Running’s move to Floreat Forum follows a number of recent openings at the centre, including gourmet supermarket, The Floreat Market, and independent ice creamery, Ruby’s Frozen Treats. This is in addition to the centre’s renewed dining precinct, which includes The Sushi, Health Freak Café Lounge, V-Burger bar and Thai Tation.
