Brisbane, 21 August 2014 – CBRE Hotels has sold the Surfair Tavern on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast on behalf of Jamie Harris, John Cronin and Anthony Connelly from McGrathNicol as Receivers and Managers.
The sale included the freehold of the prominent Marcoola tavern as well as the leasehold of the adjoining Bottle Shop, both located on David Low Way.
Glenn Price of CBRE Hotels sold the property via an Expressions of Interest campaign and settlement has now occurred.
Mr Price said the tavern benefitted from access to the beach and is prominently located within the Ramada Hotel and Conference Centre Marcoola Beach Resort.
The Surfair Tavern comprises a public bar with TAB facilities and Keno facilities, a gaming lounge with 25 machines, a bistro and a commercial kitchen.
It is situated in the popular beachside holiday destination of Marcoola, 100 kilometres north of the Brisbane CBD and 10 kilometres from Maroochydore.
Mr Price said CBRE was happy with the level of enquiry received through the process, with interest coming from both Queensland and interstate.
