Perth, 29 April 2014 – The award-winning Boffins Bookshop has upsized to larger premises in the heart of the Perth CBD, in the recently refurbished character building on the prime corner of William Street and the Hay Street Mall.
Bucking the trend of national and international book retailers downsizing, Boffins has secured large basement premises at 88 William Street.
CBRE’s Faisal Nasimi negotiated the 500.9sqm lease over the tenancy, jointly with CBRE Director of Retail Services, Richard Cash.
“Boffins wanted to relocate to a bigger tenancy with more display space and higher foot traffic,” Mr Nasimi said.
“While many of the national and international bookstore chains have been downsizing, this is an example of an experienced, hands-on retailer enjoying considerable success by focusing on a niche market and providing an extremely high level of customer service.”
Mr Cash added; “Boffins faith in the CBD retailing market provides a further example of the continued demand for high traffic locations from local, national and international retailers who are conscious of the strong retail turnover available in the Perth CBD.”
Boffins is an Australian owned, independent bookseller offering customers an eclectic range of technical, practical and special interest books.
Since opening in the Perth CBD in 1989, Boffins has grown to become the leading technical bookshop in Western Australia and has won the Australian Book Industry Association's award for Best Specialist Bookseller six times running.
