CBRE staff across Asia Pacific will unite on November 15 to take part in the tenth annual Walk For A Wish event – the firm’s flagship charity fundraiser.
In Pacific, approximately 1,500 CBRE employees will walk 10 kilometres in their respective cities to raise funds for Starlight Children’s Foundation in Australia and Ronald McDonald House in New Zealand.
Sponsored by Commercial Real Estate, this year’s Pacific event will add to the AU$2 million already raised for charitable causes in the past 10 years.
Phil Rowland, Pacific President & CEO, said Walk For A Wish had grown from strength to strength in the past 10 years – from a small fundraising walk, organised by CBRE’s Australian Property Management team, to CBRE’s largest charity initiative in the Asia Pacific region, and one of the biggest globally for the company.
“We were overwhelmed by the fundraising efforts of last year’s event, which saw Pacific employees raise an outstanding AU$230,000. In this tenth anniversary year, we look forward to exceeding that amount and helping two deserving charities that enrich the lives of seriously ill children and their families,” Mr Rowland said.
