The five-year lease deal was struck at an initial rental of $112.50/sqm net and includes a further two-year option period.
Mr Shakir said the warehouse provided a large, all-weather awning, internal clearances of up to nine metres and access via four on grade roller doors and six recessed docks.
“CBRE worked with Freight Assist Australia to lease the company’s first, 1,600sqm warehouse in Prestons two and half years ago,” Mr Shakir said.
“In the ensuing period, the company has grown significantly – hence the need to relocate to a facility which is more than double the size. The major selling points were the property’s large all-weather awning, multiple docks and rollers doors and good B-double access, which will help facilitate Freight Assist’s continued growth.”
