Matt Copus is a senior retail analytics professional with over 20-years experience in identifying, creating and supporting revenue generating opportunities by understanding and influencing the customer. This knowledge is gained through analysing the interaction customers have with brands and assets across physical locations and digital channels. He combines his expertise in big data and digital channels blended with traditional demographic approaches to provide unrivalled insights that drive revenue growth for his clients.
Matt is currently the Head of Retail Analytics for CBRE’s Retail Advisory Services, Australia. He has responsibility for developing customer data-driven insights and strategy to advise both investors and occupiers to make informed property decisions. In all cases this is done by observing real customer behaviour to understand how they interact with locations and brands across complex competitive landscapes.
Prior to joining CBRE, Matt spent 12-years working for Westfield/Scentre Group where he worked across customer data sets to personalise communications, commercialise audiences, and deliver strategy for the development and optimisation of Australia and New Zealand’s leading shopping centre portfolio. Prior to Westfield, Matt spent over 7-years working in London for CACI as a retail and property consultant delivering site location and customer analysis for retailer and shopping centre developers.
