Barwon Health expands to high-demand Geelong locale

Leading local healthcare provider Barwon Health will establish a new research and clinical trial facility in the heart of Geelong after finalising a major lease.

Barwon Health has signed a five-year lease for 1,200 of space in 73-79 Little Ryrie Street. 

The four-storey building was built in 2010 and is adjacent to Barwon Health’s University Hospital Geelong and linked to the adjoining Geelong Private Hospital via air bridge. 

Jimmy Tat, Sandro Peluso, Marcello Caspani-Muto and Kai Wang of CBRE’s Australian Healthcare & Social Infrastructure team along with Jonathan Lumsden of Colliers steered the leasing campaign for 73-79 Little Ryrie Street on behalf of the owners.

“Australia’s private hospital sector is currently worth over $25 billion and is set for significant growth over the next two decades,” Mr Tat said.

“Superior healthcare space is at a premium, which is underpinning demand for available opportunities.”
