CBRE has been appointed to provide fully integrated, property and facilities management services for some of Sydney’s most historically and culturally significant waterfront locations, including The Rocks and Darling Harbour.

The assignment - covering over 140 assets and associated public domain areas - was this month awarded by Place Management NSW, part of Property NSW.

Amanda Steele, CBRE’s Pacific Senior Managing Director, Asset Services, said the appointment represented one of the firm’s most significant Asset Management appointments in the region.

Place Management NSW is responsible for Sydney’s state-significant heritage and cultural precincts, The Rocks and Darling Harbour, and transforming them into vibrant, welcoming places that support, sustain and attract more than 40 million visitors per year.

“Through this partnership, we can assist Place Management NSW in delivering on its objectives to bring a whole-of-government approach to property and precinct management and provide world-class places and experiences for visitors and locals alike,” Ms Steele said.

“Our strong leadership team and structure, platforms and systems, and our collaborative and innovative approach to precinct management were key deciding factors in securing this assignment, as was our vision to partner with Place Management NSW create extraordinary places.”
